Lucinda Morin

Lucinda Land Morin started her dance education in her hometown of Taylorsville, NC. She trained at 5 local studios before her patient and encouraging parents enrolled her at Ann Freeman Dance Academy in Hickory, NC. She was a ballet and tap student of Ann Freeman, and a jazz and contemporary student of Jackie (Freeman) Olson. As a teenager, she received a Dance Masters of America Scholarship, and she attended the NC Governor's School, a prestigious program incorporating academics and dance.

Lucinda attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, majoring in dance. Her training there included various contemporary dance techniques as well as ballet, African, jazz, dance history, improvisation and choreography.

During her sophomore year at UNCG, she took part in several auditions on campus, including one for Opryland Productions. She was thrilled to accept her first professional job in Opryland's San Antonio venue, Fiesta Texas. Working with renowned choreographer Jean Whittaker and an amazing cast, crew, and production team, Lucinda developed a life-altering love for showbiz. She was privileged to work for choreographers Doriana Sanchez (dancer in the film Dirty Dancing, choreographer for Cher) and Bubba Carr (dancer in the TV series Fame and performer  in Cher’s shows) in Los Angeles, CA. She worked in Nashville at Opryland USA before moving to Myrtle Beach, SC, to perform at the Alabama Theatre, where she met Mario.  They've spent very little time apart since marrying in 1999, taking jobs that feature them together as well as individually, from cruise ships to casinos to beautiful stages across the South to PA's American Music Theatre and their current venue, Savannah Theatre.

Lucinda realized her ultimate dream by becoming a Radio City Rockette in 2002.  Dancing in the world-famous Radio City Christmas Spectacular was an unbelievable experience for this small-town Carolina girl.
